Faculty Vacancies
The School of Music would like to announce the following faculty vacancies:
Music Education/Choral Music
Full-Time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Responsibilities include teaching elementary and secondary music education courses and Kodály methods courses; conduct choral ensemble(s); teach additional courses that may include choral methods, music education, choral repertory/literature, beginning conducting, coordinate summer activities for teachers, and other related courses based upon education, background and experience.
Music Theory
Full-Time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position; responsible for teaching and possibly coordinating basic to advanced and graduate courses in Music Theory, Composition, Analysis, Arranging and other related classes.
Director, Opera Workshop
Full-Time, tenure-track appointment. The Director of the Opera Workshop is responsible for all staged opera and musical productions presented by the School of Music. Duties include: selection of students for specific roles; staging; costuming; lighting; scenery; publicity oversight; and coaching all performers in the production. Teach additional courses that may include Diction, Song Literature, Opera Literature, Vocal Pedagogy or Studio Voice as appropriate/needed; actively recruiting students; other courses or activities assigned based upon education, background and experience.
